Celebrate Tradition with Flavor and Fun!
Hosted by Klamath County Economic Development Association (KCEDA) each September alongside the German tradition, the Klamath Basin Oktoberfest is an affordable, family-friendly event that brings together Southern Oregon’s very best in brewers, food vendors, entertainment, and outdoor fun.
The event promotes Southern Oregon’s brewing products, where brewers such as the highly acclaimed Skyline Brewing Company, will be in attendance. The Klamath Basin’s tastiest food options showcase some of the top region’s restaurant vendors, including delicious offerings from the Running Y Ranch Resort.
People of all ages are welcome, with games, activities, and live entertainment such as Fleischklopfer, along with food to accommodate all interests and palettes. Event attendees look forward to many games and Oktoberfest-inspired contest such as “Best Dressed,” the People’s Choice Award for favorite drink, and beer stein holding competition. Attendees are encouraged to dress in Oktoberfest attire!

When is the event?
This year, the Klamath Basin Oktoberfest will be held on September 20th, 2025, going from 12pm to 9pm. The event is held on September 20th to begin concurrently with when the world-famous Oktoberfest celebration in Munich starts. The Klamath Basin Oktoberfest only lasts one day, whereas the Munich event continues for multiple weeks into early October.
Where is the event held?
The event is held in the Bill Collier Ice Arena at the Running Y Resort. The ice arena develops and provides wholesome year-round activities and attractive facilities for outdoor sports and community events in the Klamath basin, operating in a beautiful year-round, multi-use pavilion.
How much does it cost to get in?
For those planning to drink at the event and are over 21 years of age, the general admission cost is $30. Included with this is a commemorative 2025 Oktoberfest glass, 4 drinking tickets, and access to the event entertainment. For those who do not plan to drink at the event, the general admission is $10. People ages 12 and under have free admission to the event. NOTE: Those who purchase admission for drinkers in advance will receive a $5 discount, therefore making their admission cost $25. This promotion does not apply to non-drinking admission. This promotion lasts up until one week in advance of the event taking place. To purchase tickets online, please visit KlamathOktoberfest.com. Is the event kid friendly?
Yes – the Klamath Basin Oktoberfest prides itself on being a family-friendly gathering which offers attractions for people of all ages and backgrounds. Partnering with 541 Jump, we host kids games from 12pm to 4pm, featuring a nerf gun arena, cornhole stations, jenga stations, football tosses, photobooths, and much more!
Is there any food on site?
Several local food vendors attend the event every year, providing a wide array of options to accommodate many different appetites, including entrees and appetizers thematically specific to the German festival. Running Y Resort, Chely’s, Woodsy Kitchen, Victory Dog, Carte Blanche, Shaka Bus, and many others will be in attendance.

What can I bring?
Be sure to bring a government-issued photo ID, along with essentials like blankets or lawn chairs for seating, small bags or purses (which may be subject to security checks). It’s also a good idea to carry cash or a card, and weather-appropriate clothing (takes place in early Fall). If you’re bringing a child, baby supplies like a stroller or snacks are appropriate. Always check the event’s website or social media for any specific restrictions, such as rules about outside food, coolers, or pets.
Does Klamath Basin Oktoberfest accept credit cards or checks?
We do accept credit cards at the event, however we do not accept checks. Additionally, all wine and food sales are cash only and not included with admission.
What is the appropriate ID to get in?
A valid photo ID that the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission accepts, such as a driver’s license, passport, DMV photo ID, or military CAC card—these will be checked at the gate for anyone planning to drink alcohol.
When do taps shut down?
Last call for beer pours and wine sales takes place at 8:30PM.
